Syn Free Chicken Liver Pate

Syn Free Pate  So simple to make, perfect for snacking or as a starter on Christmas Day.

Ingredients tub of frozen chicken livers, fry with mushrooms, diced white onions and clove garlic.  There’s lots of speed vegetables ie mushrooms, onions and garlic.  This dish is Syn Free if you are following slimming world.  For special occasion add a splash of brandy.

Method;  fry the ingredients together, do not over cook. Only when cool, add salt and pepper, then blitz into a fine mush.  Then fill the Pate into sterilised jar. 

You can freeze otherwise the Pate otherwise it’s good for 5 days when refrigerated. Perfect Pate to make ahead of the big meal.  Supermarkets tend to stock the chicken livers in the run up to Christmas, so grab a couple of tubs to pop into your freezer.  I’ve even made it when unexpected guests turned up! 


Serving suggestions... freshly cut vegetables and cherry tomatoes. I made Christmas crackers using plain white bread flattened with a rolling pin, the baked in hot oven for 2 to 3 minutes.  I cut out the crackers with Xmas Tree cookie cutters.
