 I’m pleased to introduce a new blog for my homebakes.

My all time favourite bake is a Tea Loaf.

It can take at least 12 to 24 hours from start to finish.   No need to add sugar, as I find the dried fruit sweet enough.  The mixed dried fruit is soaked overnight or even longer in black tea, then mix in an egg and flour.

Baked at a low temperature for an hour. Perfect from the freezer toasted.


In 2018 I won 1st prize at Wirral’s Flower Show.
