No added sugars Mincemeat

Recently I made a batch of no added sugars Mincemeat. I soaked dried fruit in cinnamon tea with added orange & Lemmon rind. I then filled sterilised jars with my mincemeat and poached the jars in my jam maker. If you don’t have a jam maker boiler just use a deep pan, fill with water half way up the jars. Then boil the water for about 30 minutes making sure the pan does not boil jar. By using this method you will eliminate the harmful bacteria, it also cooks the mincemeat.


Alternative to using pastry is bread. Roll out your bread then cut into circles. Put the circles into a small muffin tray, then fill with your homemade mincemeat.
