School Cake
A simple Traybake sponge covered with icing sugar and decorated with sprinkles. Another Family favourite.
Sponge Recipe
3 eggs
125g softened butter or margarine
125g self raising flour
125g caster sugar
Splash of vanilla essence
2 tablespoons of milk
Method; cream the butter,vanilla essence & sugar, add eggs (1 egg at a time), fold in flour with milk.
Pop into a lined baking dish, bake in moderate oven for 20 to 25minutes.
Leave to cool, then coat with a thick layer of icing sugar and decorate with masses of sprinkles.
Hide from kids so that the icing will set, otherwise it will be messy to clean up!
